 TRAFFIC LAWS WHAT ARE TRAFFIC LAWS:  Traffic laws  are the laws which govern traffic and regulate vehicles, while  rules of the road  are both the laws and the informal   rules  that may have developed over time to facilitate the orderly and timely flow of traffic.  Organized traffic generally has well-established priorities, lanes, right-of-way,  and traffic control at intersections. IMPORTANCE OF TRAFFIC LAWS:  Thus, in order to have a smooth movement of traffic on the roads, the traffic rules are made by the traffic police. These rules are meant to be followed to the last word by each and every individual moving on the roads, and becoming a part of the traffic.  It is necessary to have rules for the road, but it is still more important for all of us to follow the set of rules.   LAWS :  Law is basically a set of rules that are created and enforced by a particular country or community through social or governmental institutions to regulate the actions of its members. There are five types of legal system i.e. civil law; common law; customary law; religious law and mixed law. IMPORTANCE:    The law is important for a society for it serves as a norm of conduct for citizens. It was also made to provide for proper guidelines and order upon the behavior for all citizens and to sustain the equity on the three branches of the government. It keeps the society running. Without law there would be chaos and it would be survival of the fittest and everyman for himself.  The law is important because it acts as a guideline as to what is accepted in society. CIVIL LAWS WHAT ARE CIVIL LAWS :  The Civil Law is indubitably and certainly the most important branch of law for every constitutional country. The Civil Law consists of a body of rules, procedures, regulations and judicial precedents that helps in resolving the various non-criminal disputes. These disputes are either between individuals or organizations and can be on a variety of problems like ordinary issues, private matters, marriage conflicts etc. FUNCTIONS OF CIVIL LAWS :  The core function of Civil Law is to resolve disagreements and disputes between individuals, families or organizations by providing due and equitable compensations to the victims. Unlike Criminal Law, The Civil law focuses more on the providing compensation to the victims rather than giving punishment to the accused.
